Working at Heights 

Falls from working at heights is the biggest killer in industry in Ireland. The Work at Height Regulations 2006 place duties on employers, the self-employed, and any person that controls the work of others (for example facilities managers or building owners who may contract others to work at height).

Description

The aim is to equip students with the information and abilities necessary to operate safely at heights and with fall arrest equipment.

Inspection of harnesses/lanyards/anchorage

Selection and fitting of a harness

Fall Dynamics

Selecting fall arrest for working with MEWP’s

Logging & maintenance of working at height equipment.

Learning Outcome

Fully understand the principles of fall arrest and work restraint

Be capable of fitting a working at height helmet and fall arrest harness

Be capable in the usage of basic fall arrest and restraint system

This course can be delivered at a client company venue if required.

Who Should Attend

This Working At Height Training Course is for persons whose employment requires them to work at heights, specifically those who must wear a harness for fall protection on a regular basis.

Certification & Assessment

Delegates who successfully complete the course will receive a Active Safety Certificate in Working at Height.
